London Zoo exit sign

Today in my ongoing series of photos from my travels over the years: this shot of the brick wall near the rear exit of the London Zoo in Regent's Park. I love the signage from three different eras, and the erupting thick black wires that look like they've been dipped in gutta percha -- it's my favorite kind of London streetscene, walls that have been scarred and repurposed as the technologies of municipal living changed. I think "beware of the leopard" is good advice indeed. I like this photo too for many of the same reasons.
I love this photo!!!

Nice, especially the line of pipes, like dowsing rods in the hand
but that is lagged piping.
Used to stop water pipes freezing, but also to keep the contents cold if it is attached to an air-conditioning unit.

I like the circle at the base of the hand, making it look like it was lopped off.
Loci, you need to heed your own advice. Really.
Cory, I think you should submit that photo to Entrances to Hell in and around the UK -- one of my all-time favorite websites.
