Oh no, now we can't have stopwatches, wristwatches or any other concealable timepiece on airplanes! I hope the TSA doesn't read boingboing.

Unlike in basketball, very bad things happen when this shot clock runs out.

This reminds me of the credit card gun.

Since it's a muzzleloader, it's something you could carry most anywhere legally.

The recoil on that'd be a bitch.

@Takeshi (#4), I hadn't seen that! At 1/4" thick though, it's still kinda chunky.

they sneer at the credit card shotgun? OK. Myself, the Ruger .22 MkIII silenced is plenty.

I like how they blacked out the mastercard text but not the logo.

One of the most disturbing antiques I've seen in my life would have to have been a "pen style" gun that was used by nazis in ww2. Capable of firing a single 22 round, it had a very short barrel, so it must be held directly against the head to be effective.

It was the size and shape of a chalk holder, with a clip on it so you could keep it in your shirt pocket.. which was the disturbing part for me.. the thought that alongside pens, nazis would carry a gun like a bureaucratic office tool.

I think my dislike of firearms stems from viewing that single artifact.

That'll be great in the next reboot - 007: Bond 1908

Heh. Yeah, a little chunky for a credit card gun, for sure. Still pretty impressive, though, and probably a decent close-range defensive weapon for people who live in cities without conceal-to-carry permits.

Just don't try to swipe it.

This should replace every electric chair.

The Clock of Death. Truly counting down your last seconds.

It stands to reason. If a gentleman found himself confronted by a common mugger who demanded his valuables, the gentleman could produce his watch and shoot the attacker with it.

Naturally, this would afford the gentleman enough time to change his grip on his walking stick and beat the brute about the head until the constables arrived. :D

Quite so, RJ, quite so!
Upon close examination, I am baffled as to where the steam is generated...

Hi all. This comment is not on topic, and may in fact be monumentally stupid. My ISP is ATT, and I have suddenly encountered a problem which seems suspicious. I can no longer access most of my bookmarked links. I can readily access Yahoo, Google, YouTube, MySpace etc very quickly. BoingBoing loads obviously as I'm commenting, but it is pretty slow.

Maybe, when I wake up tomorrow, this won't be happening, but I have never had a problem like this. With all this talk of ISP's prioritizing traffic and becoming controlling content providers, I'm a little nervous. The fact that I can currently watch videos of cats on skateboards doing the soulja' boy dance to my hearts content, but can't connect to any other type of website, is really bothering me.

I hope that when I wake up tomorrow that this won't be happening, but I thought I should post this in case I can't actually get back here via this method.

#14, it would afford the gentleman the time to draw the sword out of his "walking stick" and skewer the perp...
