Alaska job fair uses Cory Doctorow/XKCD cosplayer for ads?
Rench sez, "This Anchorage Daily News job fair ad I saw online seems to feature a woman dressed as Cory Doctorow. I really don't see any other explanation."

Wow, maybe Doctorow-Man needs to don his cape and put a stop to this maaaadness!! But seriously, this is so blatant its ridiculous. And I gotta say it...(inserts something snarky about Sarah Palin being involved somehow). Whew!
And so we see the first of Cory's sleeper army...waiting for his signal to rise up and spread Creative Commons around the globe :)
Uh folks, it's a stock photo.

and it's available to you too, for $4.20.
Yes, I'll grant you that was taken after Cory's xkcd pic, but I doubt he's the first person to ever throw on a cape and goggles.

Cory, I'm having a little trouble parsing the title of this post, although it's obviously another typical post from you about fair use...
I was doing the whole cape/goggles thing way back in '76. I'd insert something snarky about Obama fans (see the first post for reference, Takuan) but I don't want my account killed again.
I'd rather see a woman dressed as Corey than Corey dressed as a woman.
LittleJohn: kind of..
[The] "Alaska job fair" uses Cory Doctorow/XKCD cosplayer for ads?
That gave my gigglebox a good prod.
And yes, GeekDadCanada, I would too. No offence, Cory.
Thnak god the image of someone in a cape & goggles isn't copyrighted.
I thought she was supposed to be a time-traveling blog reenactor from the future.
Gotta love how with these jokey posts people always want to jump in and shout, "Stop being so lighthearted! You're wrong; here are facts and logic!"
After watching Time Bandits at the weekend, I'm fairly sure Cory stole his look from David Rappaport, though he seems to have dispensed with the monocle.

Is that oval Job Fair logo supposed to be her zeppelin?
